LIBERALS CAN’T DO MATH

It is a simple fact.  Liberals just don’t do well with math.  Look at the facts.

Rep. Charles Rangel, the Democrat Congressman from New York is Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.  They write the tax laws, but he failed to pay his taxes on about $75,000.00 of income.  The excuse?  He didn’t understand the rules.  Huh?

Al Franken, the liberal Democrat trying to take Norm Coleman’s Senate seat in Minnesota had some $50,000.00 in unpaid income taxes in several states.  In fact the liberals are so bad with math in Minnesota that while they were busy trying to stuff the ballot box, to steal an election Coleman won during the election day count, they ended up with more votes than people that voted.  Opps!

Everyone knows about Tim (Turbo Tax) Geithner.  Obama’s new Treasury Secretary, who is in charge of the IRS, yet failed to pay self-employment taxes while working for the International Monetary Fund.  He managed this oversight even though the IMF sent him a quarterly statement of what he owed, and a check to pay it.  I’m sure the check went to a good charity.  Right.

Then there is former Democrat Senator Tom Daschle.  Obama picked him to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.  He would have been in charge of the govenment take over of our health care system (more about this in a future column) until it came out he owed $128,000.00 in unpaid taxes.  Doesn’t it just make you sick?

Nancy Killefer, President Obama’s pick to be the new Chief Performance Officer at the White House, “performed” her role as an employer of domestic help by not paying the employment taxes.  Uh Oh.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi proved once again she has the I. Q. of a pet rock (and is about as useful) by stating that every month we fail to act on the economy 500 million Americans are losing their jobs.  Neat trick. There are only 300 million Americans in the whole country.  Duh!

So why do liberals suffer so much from MDD, Math Deficit Disorder?  The reason is very simple.  Math is what is known as a hard science.  It is based on facts that are demonstrable.  Facts that are not subject to question.  The facts are then used to prove relationships through the careful application of deductive reasoning.  A proof is established that is beyond question.

Liberals, however, don’t use deductive reasoning.  They don’t use critical thinking skills at all.  Liberalism is based entirely on feelings.  An answer is correct or incorrect depending on how you feel about it.  Logic has no place.

That is why President Obama, at his press conference, can say with a straight face we can’t fix the economy with the same policies we have used in the past (meaning tax cuts) that have failed.  He can totally ignore the fact (there is that four letter word liberals hate) that every tax cut from John F. Kennedy’s through Ronald Reagan’s through George W. Bush’s worked.  He can insist, instead, on an approach that has never worked.  This is MDD.  I guess the math doesn’t matter if he doesn’t feel it is the right approach.

Facts don’t matter.  Truth doesn’t matter.  So don’t talk to the liberals about either one.  And don’t try to show them the math.

Liberals can’t do math.
